UniVoIP has said that it is giving away free phones to all organizations that sign up for a calling plan through their hosted private branch exchange (PBX (News - Alert)) system.

“The company understands that efficient and reliable communications is essential to organizations of all sizes and that is why we have created an alternative to expensive PBX system providers,” said Asghar Ghasemmy, president and co-founder of UniVoIP.

Ghasemmy said that the company has found that the last hurdle to switching to a cost effective VoIP solution usually is the need to switch to phones that support VoIP, and that is why in June of this year, the company started a program to donate free business VoIP phones to non-profit organizations in our community. “The program was such a huge success that we now have decided to extend to for-profit businesses.”

With UniVoIP hosted PBX, users need only one phone per employee and a dedicated point-to-point connection or an Internet connection. Company officials said that their solution eliminates the need to purchase equipment or manage except the phones.

Company’s trained technicians visit the clients’ place of business to install the business VoIP phones and train the end users on how they work. Company officials said that UniVoIP provide the level of service expected from a phone company -- one company delivers the system, the connection and provides all technical support.

UniVoIP makes sure that “lines are open” both for calling and internet usage, said company officials. Plus, there is only one vendor -- and one bill -- for all of the services offered.

Additionally thanks to UniVoIP, there is no customer premise-based equipment to buy, and with UniVoIP, even the VoIP phones, any required routers, and all set-up fees can be rolled into one low monthly lease.

The latest offer is available for a limited time. UniVoIP calling plans offer unlimited free inbound and intra-office calls. Moreover outbound domestic calls are only $0.02 per minute with unlimited calling plans available.

Earlier this year in June, UniVoIP announced free business phones and limitless training and support to all non profit organizations that sign up for a call plan via their hosted PBX platform.
