Gaithersburg, Md-based BroadSoft Inc., a VoIP application software provider, announced today that it scored a contract from Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) in Vietnam for the company to deploy its BroadSoft BroadWorks hosted VoIP applications platform. The partnership asks that Broadsoft deploy the system in QTSC's multi-tenant office in Vietnam with Datacraft, a systems integrator and a subsidiary of Dimension Data.

According to the company's news release, with BroadSoft's platform, QTSC will be able to "immediately activate telephony services for new business tenants that support competitively priced calling plans, lower ownership and operational costs, and the latest set of next-generation features, including unified messaging, conferencing and click-to-dial."

BroadSoft's BroadWorks platform is being implemented as part of Datacraft's metropolitan area network (MAN) infrastructure solution for QTSC.

"BroadWorks is our preferred platform for large hosted telephony installations because it is based on open standards, meets carrier needs, and supports the widest selection of advanced features," said Paul Dewhirst, Director, Professional Services at Datacraft. "Hosted communications services is a growth sector in Asia, and BroadSoft is leading the charge with Tier 1 deployments in nearly every country in this region."

"With Datacraft, we're helping QTSC's business tenants grow with communications services that both reduce costs and increase productivity," said Michael Tessler, CEO and president at BroadSoft. "In addition to working with leading systems integrators in Asia, such as Datacraft, BroadSoft has opened up new offices in Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand to provide maximum support to our customers."

BroadSoft's BroadWorks VoIP application platform provides hosted PBX, IP Centrex, mobile PBX, business trunking and residential broadband services in a single VoIP application platform. The company has partnerships with BellSouth, MCI, Singtel, Telstra, Verizon and XO Communications.

Today's announcement follows BroadSoft's recently announced reseller agreement with McLeodUSA Incorporated, a telecommunications services provider. McLeodUSA selected the BroadWorks platform to provide a range of VoIP business applications for the Preferred Advantage Dynamic Integrated Access service. With BroadSoft's BroadWorks platform in place, McLeodUSA is now able to offer services to businesses at varying stages of IP deployment, ranging from those customers with existing PBX equipment to those desiring a completely hosted IP service.
