Server product line. Kazeon now addresses a wide range of electronically
stored information beyond the data center, including: eMail, laptops and

federation capabilities. Through this expansion, enterprises are finally
able to cost effectively implement solutions to multiple business
challenges with a single software platform, including proactive and
reactive eDiscovery, litigation support, information security & privacy,
compliance and storage optimization.
Kazeon's Information Server, used by more than 150 companies worldwide, is
now available in two new versions -- the Kazeon Information Server Data
Center Edition and the Kazeon Information Server Remote Office Edition.
Also new is the Kazeon Information Center, supporting federated management,
search and reporting of distributed enterprise information. These offerings
are available as a pre-packaged appliance or as software-only. With this
latest version, Kazeon now has the broadest set of eMail discovery and

Enterprise Vault, Microsoft Exchange and SMTP-based Internet eMail

"Kazeon has been a terrific partner to Plan B Technologies, Inc. and their
innovative products continue to impress our customers," said Steve Taylor,
Chief Technology Officer of Plan B Technologies, Inc. "Kazeon has made
dramatic refinements and improvements to an already terrific product.
They've added new management and performance features as well as email
reporting and archival integration solutions. All of which are important
components our customers require to successfully run their businesses."
"Our research indicates that organizations will store over 23,000 petabytes
of unstructured information in support of legal, compliance and business
intelligence processes," commented Brian Babineau, Senior Analyst with
Enterprise Strategy Group. "The information must be appropriately managed
and made accessible in a cost effective, operationally efficient manner and
one way to measure this is through a dollars per document metric. ESG Lab
validated Kazeon's ability to provide a scalable, performant solution with
a total cost of ownership of less than a penny per document and $4,300 per
terabyte. When examined in the context of an organization with multiple
terabytes and hundreds of millions of files, this is a significant
competitive advantage."
Performance highlights of version 3 include:
-- The ability to be installed and running in just under 12 minutes;
-- Ability to sustain 1,500 files per second for metadata and 700 files
per second with search indexing;
-- Deep crawl performance of 47 MB/sec when scanning for content;
