(Wireless News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)
iLinc Communications, a developer of Web conferencing software and
audio conferencing services, announced that it has signed an agreement
with the state of South Carolina to provide statewide government
organizations with a single-point solution for Web conferencing.
The agreement marks the fifth U.S. state to select iLinc s suite of Web
conferencing products to better enable cross-agency collaboration. The
South Carolina contract is valued at approximately $250,000, the
company noted.
We are certainly gaining momentum among state governments as more and
more states are looking for more efficient ways to work, said James M.
Powers, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of iLinc. Customers
in the public sector choose iLinc for our broad set of features
designed for live, online instruction which is provided with
industry-leading data security and easy integration with other
complementary technologies.
States also appreciate our product s embedded Green Meter which gives
them the ability to measure carbon emissions that are eliminated by
using Web conferencing instead of traveling to meetings, Powers said.
South Carolina joins Oregon, Louisiana, Utah and Arizona as states
which have seen the value of implementing a full suite of Web
conferencing software products and services to increase productivity
and save money that otherwise would be spent on expensive travel.
