(AME Info (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) (KRT) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Aug. 4--DUBAI WORLD APPOINTS ENERGY CONSULTANT: Energy Management Services has been made the Green Building Sustainability consultant for the Environmental Health and Safety regulatory arm of Dubai World. It will be charged with defining, promoting and deploying sustainability projects and energy efficiency services for Dubai World.
BSEL TO BUILD EMERALD TOWER: Developer BSEL Infrastructure Realty has appointed JCA Real Estate to market Emerald Tower, a 100 percent freehold residential tower in Ajman's Emirates City. The 50-storey tower is valued at Dhs252m. JCA Real Estate is an associate company of Jitendra Group of Companies.
ARABTEC WINS EMAAR-BAWADI VILLAS: Arabtec Construction has won the Dhs1.6bn contract from Emaar-Bawadi joint venture for the design and construction of 1437 villas in Dubailand. Delivery in phases is expected over a period of 37 months. The company has reported a total of more than 10,000 villas currently under construction.
DUBAILAND DEALS HIT DHS330M: Land transactions in Dubai has peaked on Sunday at Dhs330.11m with sales exceeding Dhs171.19m, Gulf News has reported. Dubai Land Department has recorded Dhs158.91m in mortgages and 17 sale transactions. Al Barsha First was sold for Dhs27.8m and was the biggest deal for the day.
FINES FOR DEVELOPERS OF 'FICTITIOUS' TOWER: Ajman Municipality has fined a real estate developer and consulting company Dhs100,000 each for selling units in a fictitious project, according to a Khaleej Times report. The companies had posted adverts for the 95-storey Al Manara Tower, claiming that it would be the tallest building in the emirate. Ajman Municipality has since said that the tallest approved building is of 62 storeys, and investors who have been sold fake units are encouraged to contact them to help recoup their money.
PEACE TOWER TO RISE IN AJMAN: Ras Al Khaimah-based Peace Builders and Developers has launched its maiden project, the Peace Tower -- in Ajman, Gulf News has reported. The Dhs60m freehold residential project will be built in Ajman's Marmooka City.
DURRAT MARINA MOVES AHEAD: Reclamation work at the Durrat Marina, a 21-square kilometre master development spreading over a cluster of 15 islands, has finished. The marina will cater to over 3,000 residences consisting of waterfront villas, town houses, apartments, and commercial and recreational facilities and will be designed to accommodate over 300 boats and yachts.
NEW CEO FOR DIFC LIFESTYLE: The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has recently appointed Abdulla Bin Hamad Bin Sougat as Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Lifestyle Group, the DIFC's new division, which develops and manages lifestyle properties. DIFC Lifestyle Group is set to expand its offering in DIFC to include five-star hotels, exhibition facilities, theatres and residential facilities.
