Platform Computing and Clustercorp Announce the Availability of Platform LSF for Rocks+

Platform Computing and Clustercorp have announced the availability of Platform LSF(TM) for Rocks(R)+. Platform Computing has signed a Roll Distribution Agreement with Clustercorp to make the Platform LSF Roll available as part of Rocks+. In response to customer and community demand, Platform worked closely with Clustercorp to integrate the industry's leading workload management software into Rocks+. Platform LSF, the flagship product in Platform's HPC management suite, allows customers to intelligently manage and accelerate batch workload processing for mission-critical compute and data intensive applications.

Rocks+ is the commercial version of the Rocks Cluster Distribution - an end-to-end HPCC software stack, which includes the operating system, cluster management middleware, libraries, and compilers; with enterprise class commercial support from Clustercorp. In addition to the LSF Roll, Rocks+ includes the Intel(R) Roll, PGI(R) Roll, OFED Roll, TotalView(R) Roll, and more.

By packaging Platform LSF in a "Roll," Clustercorp allows for Platform LSF to be added to any Rocks+ cluster by simply clicking on a check-box at install time or running a few simple commands post-install. The software is tightly integrated into the Rocks framework, which automates deployment and configuration across an entire compute cluster without hands-on intervention from a system administrator.
Rocks+ and the Platform LSF Roll are available to end-users direct from Clustercorp and through multiple channels, including Tier 1 HPCC hardware partners (www.clustercorp.com/hardware) and distributors. Rocks+ is also available to VARs and System Integrators through Tech Data Corporation's Advanced Infrastructure Solutions Division (see below for procurement details).
