Update: Hengtong Optic-Electric unveils new submarine cable, 4G telecom products
BEIJING, Nov 27, 2012 (Xinhua via COMTEX) --
China's leading optical fiber and
cable manufacturer Hengtong Optic-Electric Co. Ltd (600487.SH)
unveiled its latest products in the fields of submarine cable, 4G
mobile communications, and fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) last Friday in
Beijing.
The popularization of the Internet triggered surging demand
for communications bandwidth across the world and encouraged the
development of submarine optical communications, which undertook the
important tasks of connecting the communications of nations and
continents.
Hengtong Optic-Electric rolled out ocean communication
systematic cable products in its ocean project, making it the only
Chinese electric cable company with a complete ocean communication
system.
In the light of expected surging demand for fiber optical
demand triggered by 4G construction, Hengtong Optic-Electric released
18 types of innovative products including photoelectric cable for
access network, remote electricity-supply device, and all-in-one
cabinet for 4G base stations.
Optical and electrical cable showed its importance as basic
infrastructure along with swift development of the global information
communication industry, and technical innovation of this equipment
had become a crucial driving force boosting the progress of the whole
information communications industry.
The optical fiber and cable manufacturer expects to realize
new breakthroughs in products and markets through innovation and
facilitate the upgrade of China's information communications
