CHR Introduces New Infrastructure Engineering Leadership Team
HOUSTON --(Business Wire)--
CHR
Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of engineering, managed
services, BSS/OSS and cloud technology to communications service
providers (CSPs), today announced the introduction of a new engineering
leadership team, leveraging more than 100 years of combined industry
experience. The company's engineers are licensed in 48 states, have
assisted in the engineering, design and construction of more than 60
FTTP statewide and regional fiber network projects, one of the first
five 4G LTE networks in the nation and have laid more than 50,000 miles
of lit fiber over the last five years. With the addition of these new
leaders, the company will continue to build upon its leading market
position with Tier 1, 2 and 3 CSPs.

With more than 15 years at CHR Solutions, Sam Harlan (News - Alert), Vice President of
Engineering, is responsible for engineering design, plans and
specifications, contracts and implementation of projects. This includes
wireless design, electronic equipment designs, RUS Loan Designs and
coordination with RUS to receive funding for both traditional and
broadband loans. He is also responsible for the staff of Professional
Engineers who perform design, consultation, quality control and client
satisfaction.
James Kovaly brings more than 25 years of netork engineering and
technical sales development experience to CHR Solutions, including
former leadership positions in systems engineering, network consulting,
systems engineering management, technical sales operations, and IPTV (News - Alert)
solution development. Kovaly spent 15 years at Cisco Systems, beginning
in 1996 and going on to lead a team of more than 30 systems and
consulting engineers driving technical sales of networking products,
solutions and services in the tier 2 and 3 service provider segment. He
also held the position of Sr. Account Manager at CCI Systems,
responsible for sales and business development among tier 2 & 3
telephone and cable providers.
As Principal Business Consultant for CHR Solutions, Patrick Sims is
responsible for the development strategies of end-to-end technical
solutions in FTTH, wireless development, and smart grid technologies in
the access communications markets. Sims primary roles are to define the
technical development strategy in access technologies, lead the
technical direction for new product introduction, and ensure the
sustainable development of the technical direction. His 35-year
experience includes management roles at xDSL and Tyco Electronics (News - Alert) and he
is one of the co-founders and past member of the Board of Directors for
the North American Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Council.
A seasoned executive with more than seventeen years of global experience
in operations, strategy and business development, Michael Beecher serves
as Senior Vice President, Engineering & Systems Integration, in the
Infrastructure business group. Prior to joining CHR Solutions, Beecher
worked at Tyco Electronics, formerly known as ADC (News - Alert) Telecommunications,
Inc. In his most recent position, he spent 18 months as vice president
of outsourced services and business development. From 2003 to 2009, he
served as vice president and general manager of EF&I operations where he
was responsible for all aspects of delivery of services worldwide for
all customers.
Deborah Crawford joins CHR Solutions as Vice President of Engineering
Operations. She brings 14-years of engineering management experience
showcased by increased responsibility as telecommunications companies
were started, acquired and integrated. Crawford developed and modernized
networks to keep up with technological advancements which led to
increased efficiency and innovation in complex IP logical services to
clients. She brings an extensive multidisciplinary management experience
across network engineering, product engineering and application
development.
