Deutsche Telekom provides LiveStream Perform to Abu Dhabi Media for its global streaming and multiscreen distribution needs

Business Development and Innovation (BDI), an integral part of Deutsche Telekom's International Wholesale Business Unit, announced today that Abu Dhabi Media, one of the fastest-growing, multi-platform media and entertainment organizations in the Middle East, is a new customer for BDI's LiveStream Perform, powered by Octoshape. Abu Dhabi Media selected DT BDI's cloud-based video streaming solution for the live streaming and delivery of six TV channels to connect multiple devices for its global customer base.

Enabled for worldwide online playback from admedia.ae, the sports, news, and drama based content will now be available on multiple screens: PC, mobile devices, and Abu Dhabi Media applications. Abu Dhabi Media will leverage LiveStream Perform's acceleration technologies for both live and on-demand streaming of content from the channels AD Sport 1 HD, AD Sport 2 HD, Ad Sport Extra HD, AD Al Oula HD, AD Al Emarat HD and AD Drama SD. LiveStream Perform delivers a consistent, high-quality video playback across any device for a differentiated service targeted at existing and new subscribers.

In addition, the channels will be encoded for adaptive bit rate and multidevice support and content will be recorded for VOD.
