TP-LINK Now Shipping TL-PA8030P KIT Powerline Featuring the Latest HomePlug® AV2 Standard

TP-LINK®, a global provider of consumer and business networking products, is now shipping the TL-PA8030P KIT AV1200 3-Port Gigabit Passthrough Powerline Starter Kit that expands your home's network over its existing electrical wiring. These adapters feature the latest HomePlug® AV2 standard with multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology and Powerline beamforming, reaching powerline speeds up to 1200Mbps1. These advanced technologies will improve peak data transfer rates and expand coverage.

"Today's connected world demands the convenience of Powerline technology at its highest standard. Without having to sacrifice open electric outlets, consumers can easily enjoy increasingly popular connected AV devices and stable, lightning-fast Internet speeds within minutes of plugging in a TL-PA8030P KIT Passthrough Powerline Starter Kit," said Lewis Wu, executive vice president of TP-LINK USA. "Delivering the latest AV2 standard allows consumers to improve speeds across their network and take full advantage of the existing wiring in their homes."

HomePlug AV2 MIMO Technology and Beamforming
TP-PA8030P KIT Passthrough Powerline Starter Kit utilizes MIMO technology and beamforming to expand coverage throughout the home, including hard-to-reach outlets. MIMO transmits two independent data streams on three wire pairs, live, neutral and ground increasing total throughput. Beamforming optimizes overall performance and reduces interference to maximize data transfer rates. Combined with the HomePlug AV2 protocol, that adds an additional spectrum from 30 to 86 MHz, these advanced technologies help Powerline adapters achieve advanced performance over the previous generation while delivering expanded whole-home coverage.

Multiple Gigabit Ports
The Powerline adapters can also transmit data over Gigabit Ethernet ports, creating secure wired networks for true gigabit-class broadband speeds more than 100Mbps. This makes the TL-PA8030P KIT well suited for audio and video streaming, online gaming, multi-room IPTV (News - Alert) and other high-demand networking uses. It also provides five extra Gigabit ports so users simultaneously connect wired devices like smart TVs, game consoles, external hard drives, or desktop computers to ensure maximum connectivity.

Save Power Outlets for Other Uses
With a TL-PA8030P KIT Passthrough Powerline starter kit, consumers will no longer need to sacrifice a power outlet for their Powerline devices. TL-PA8030P KIT Passthrough Powerline starter kits feature an integrated power outlet with output of up to 16A, so users can safely plug their high-power electrical appliances directly into the front of the Powerline uni. The built-in noise filter blocks out electrical signals and other noise, preventing any performance interference from external devices.

Plug and Play
Users can get their Powerline network up and running by plugging the Powerline adapters into any available power outlet, eliminating the need for time-consuming and expensive renovations previously required to establish a whole-home or office wired Ethernet network.

TL-PA8030P KIT AV1200 Gigabit Powerline Adapter Key Features:

  • Expands your network into areas of the home needing better coverage

Actual data throughput and wireless coverage will vary.

1Actual data throughput and data over distance may vary. Network conditions and environmental factors, including amount of network traffic, home wiring, age of home wiring, home construction and materials, interference from other electrical devices, the use of other networking products on the same network, and other adverse conditions may result in lower actual data throughput rate. Power outlets and electrical wiring must all be part of the same electrical system and outlets must be electrically connected in order for devices to provide a network connection between the devices. If you are uncertain about your network conditions and environmental factors, you should consult an IT professional to assist in selecting a networking product. This product is an advanced standard designed to meet future advances in computer speeds and networking capabilities.
