Digisoft.tv Sets Sail With Maritime Streaming SolutionCORK, Ireland, August 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Digisoft.tv, a global multiscreen platform provider for the broadcast and telecommunications industry, has deployed its LTE streaming platform at the largest annual sailing regatta in the world; Kiel Week. OKSH, who have been broadcasting the event for more than a decade, deployed a solution to deliver live transmissions from outside broadcast units to a central studio for relay on to the main live TV service, Kiel TV. Digisoft used its CastConductor video orchestration system to manage the broadcast of multiple adaptive HLS streams over LTE and IP. The platform delivers a more cost effective solution compared with traditioal satellite or microwave backhaul. Digisoft's technology meant that we could capture live streams from remote locations and deliver them back to our broadcast centre using HLS streaming over a low cost LTE connection."
