Bluestreak, Amino Provide New Interactive Cable and IPTV Solutions

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

Bluestreak Technology, a dealer in software presentation solutions, and IPTV (News - Alert) and hybrid/OTT dealer Amino Communications, entered into partnership to offer new interactive television solutions to cable and IPTV operators.

The solutions will be based on Bluestreak’s (News - Alert) MachBlue family of application platform blended with the features of Amino’s Freedom DVB-T hybrid/OTT media center and they will be able to offer web services, Internet video and apps to the TV.

Bluestreak claimed that its MachBlue family of products is used to deliver rich media services across televisions and set-top boxes, mobile devices, and consumer electronics. For wireless and wired companies who want to deliver compelling applications on resource constrained devices, the company provides an open development environment to meet all of users’ application needs.

According to Amino, the Amino Freedom DVB-T hybrid media centre is the first device of its kind that brings broadcast, on demand, open Internet and local content together in a single device. It seamlessly connects them to all the stuff consumers’ love –favorite TV, movies and home media, and allows exploration of a new world of apps and games on their very own big screen. The Amino Freedom hybrid/OTT media center like Google (News - Alert) TV features the powerful Intel Atom processor CE4100.

Using the joint solution from the partnership IPTV and cable operators can build single presentation environment for offering rich media experiences and compelling user experiences that can run across a wide variety of devices including mobile, connected TV, STB and other consumer electronics.

“IPTV companies and cable operators are searching for the best ways to rapidly deliver a wide variety of web, telephony, and television services through a single, easy-to-use experience,” said Andrew Burke, CEO of Amino Technologies, in a press release. “By combining compelling presentation experiences, such as Bluestreak Technology’s (News - Alert), with Amino’s robust hardware and MeegoTV software capabilities, we are accelerating our customers’ time to market and delivering the new types of converged entertainment experiences that consumers demand. We are pleased to partner with Bluestreak Technology to support their upcoming customer deployments and we look forward to working with them more in the future.”
