Cogeco Adds Three New HD Channels to HD Cable Line-Up

Quebec-based Cogeco Cable added three new HD channels to its HD TV program offering. According to company sources Cogeco’s HD Television customers can now enjoy access to Musique Plus HD, Musimax HD and Super Ecran2 HD.

In a press release, Ron Perrotta, vice president of Marketing and Strategic Planning at Cogeco Cable, said, “HD Television is a favorite with our customers mainly due to the exceptional quality and viewing experience this technology provides. We are continually on the alert to what’s happening in this sector and we invest constantly to provide the most interesting and relevant HD offering on the market.”

Company sources stated that the addition of HD channels will not involve extra expenditure for customers who have already subscribed to the standard version. Also it was revealed that the complete HD program line-up, as well as information on HD subscription and equipment requirements will be available on Cogeco’s website at cogeco.ca.

Perrotta added, “We’re proud that the HD Television service attracts new customers every month. Cogeco Cable clearly offers the diversity, quality and control our customers are looking for.”

Cogeco Cable is a large cable operator in Ontario, Quebec and Portugal taking into consideration the of hybrid fiber optic and coaxial cable. By using its two-way broadband cable networks, the company is able to serve residential customers by providing audio, analog and digital television, besides offering HSI and telephony services.

Also Cogeco Cable provides its business customers with data networking, e-business applications, video conferencing, Web hosting, Ethernet and private line via its Cogeco Diffusion subsidiary. It also provides VoIP, HIS access, black fiber, data storage and security, co-location services and other advanced communication solutions, added Cogeco officials.
