QuickTreX Wire and Kevlar Scissors Ideal for Structured Cabling, Security Systems

By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor

A manufacturer of datacom products, QuickTreX has unveiled a new pair of electricians’ wire and Kevlar cutting scissors made of durable ice-tempered Solingen stainless steel, which are crafted in Germany and capable of withstanding extreme conditions. Professional electricians, as well as low-voltage system technicians, can make use of the Wire Surgeon scissors for installing structured network cabling as well as security systems.

To provide improved security systems, a handy and easy-to-use wire stripper, as well as splice and terminal crimper, allows cutting of copper wires from 26 to 18 AWG. Designed for clean cutting, the stainless steel Wire Surgeon shear can be used to cut wire, Kevlar, braiding, etc. Wire slippage is prevented by the use of slight blade serrations that also provide dependable precise cuts. The ergonomically designed soft rubber handle is comfortable for both right- and left-handed people.

In a release, QuickTreX president and founder, Tony Casazza, said, “Professional grade tools for today’s diversified installers and technicians are becoming more vital to success in this economy than ever before, because a quality tool will do a better job and last longer. It’s good economics for both the customer and the service provider.”

After working for several years as an electrician and cabling installer and also successfully running online datacom supply store offering services such as cabling, connectivity and network components for 13 years, Casazza founded the QuickTreX Company in 2010. Casazza was aware of the product limitation set by various manufacturers and hence wanted to extend beyond these limitations by setting up a new company.

The QuickTreX brand objective is to help technicians’ accomplish their goals with speed, accuracy and agility. QuickTreX manufactures copper cabling hardware, fiber optic cable assemblies, tools and testers that cater to the low voltage cabling industry for use in premise networks, security, and electrical applications. QuickTreX tools have been honed to achieve perfection and are thoroughly designed, engineered and tested by experts under real-world conditions.
