AT&T announced it has rebranded its myWireless Mobile App to myAT&T. The rebranding is part of the company’s plans to expand the mobile account management experience and availability to AT&T (News - Alert) U-verse customers.

The free myWireless Mobile App was announced in May 2010. The app was launched initially to allow BlackBerry customers to view data and voice usage, manage bill payments and add new wireless features, TMCnet reported.

Along with the rebranding initiative, the company also announced a dedicated mobile Web site, m.att.com/myatt, available for most Web-enabled phones, bringing this convenient and flexible service to even more busy customers on the go, company officials.

With myAT&T app, AT&T U-verse customers gain a feature-rich experience with several capabilities including the ability to check voice usage, view TV on-demand purchases and usage, review and pay bills, and reduce clutter by selecting paperless billing.

The app also allows AT&T wireless customers to manage account features and enroll in AutoPay services.

“This application has been incredibly popular with our wireless customers – 5 million downloads to date and as many as fourteen million monthly transactions,” said Phil Bienert, vice president, ATT.com, in a statement.

“We’re excited to expand availability to our U-verse base and also launch the dedicated mobile website to bring the benefits of this app – and our efforts to provide a great AT&T self-service experience – to even more AT&T customers,” Bienert added.

Smartphone users can download the app by searching for “myAT&T” in the Android (News - Alert) Market, AT&T App Center or BlackBerry App World, AT&T officials said. Customers must have registered their wireless or U-verse account online to utilize the app and mobile Web site.
