The Comcast product team says its added some goodies, such as streaming content from IFC, Adult Swim, BBC and more – the upgrade brings the benefit of varies customizations.

Features Include:

New favorites list that is most improved by its ability to sync with the Xfinity TV website.

New channel keypad for quick changes when used as a remote and the ability to jump to specific dates in the TV listings.

The new update has also changed the iPhone (News - Alert) version, with the addition of a "flip through previous channels" feature which was previously restricted to the iPad version.

Comcast is planning to follow Time Warner (News - Alert) through the live channel streaming door, despite the loud protests of some of the TV networks against it.

Earlier this month, Comcast recently announced that it has made available its popular Xfinity TV app to an even broader audience as it has now officially made it available to the Android (News - Alert) Market. Currently free to all Comcast digital subscribers, the Xfinity TV app enables customers to search and instantly select what they want to watch, as they have thousands of choices, including top movies and premium cable shows on TV, On Demand, online or on a Smartphone.
