The new update has also changed the iPhone (News - Alert) version, with the addition of a "flip through previous channels" feature which was previously restricted to the iPad version.

Comcast is planning to follow Time Warner (News - Alert) through the live channel streaming door, despite the loud protests of some of the TV networks against it.

Currently free to all Comcast digital subscribers, the Xfinity TV app enables customers to search and instantly select what they want to watch, as they have thousands of choices, including top movies and premium cable shows on TV, On Demand, online or on a Smartphone.
