AT&T Brings 'American Idol' Closer to Fans

AT&T (News - Alert) has announced that it will be providing AMERICAN IDOL fans with new and exciting opportunities to interact with their favorite contestants. The contest, with one of the highest viewer ratings is in its final stages with the country gearing up to crown the winner of Season 10 of AMERICAN IDOL, on Wednesday, May 25.  

Fans have been presented with the opportunity of joining their favorite Idol contestant on a hometown visit and also the opportunity of coming face to face with past contestants.

The New Idol-themed events include AT&T Idol Celebration in which AT&T will host a first-ever free AT&T Idol Celebration on-site in Los Angeles before the final performance show on Tuesday, May 24. Former Idol contestants lined up for the performance are Kimberly Caldwell (Season 2), Diana DeGarmo (Season 3), Bo Bice (Season 4), Ace Young (Season 5), Blake Lewis (Season 6) and Jason Castro (Season 7).

Three "AT&T Idol Superfans" will also have the unique opportunity of joining hands with remaining contestants – Lauren Alaina, Scott McCreery and Haley Reinhart – on hometown visits tomorrow, May 14. The Idols will stop at a local AT&T store and will be greeted by one of the Superfan contest winners.

AT&T $10,000,000 Idol Sweepstakes which is the largest to date will go to one lucky fan who gets a winning trip for two to the AMERICAN IDOL finale and will also have a shot at playing for $10 million on May 24. Including the MOTOROLA ATRIX 4G, a number of other prizes will also be given out.
