By Sujata Garud, TMCnet Contributor

Allied Wire & Cable has appointed seven new sales representatives to its locations across the U.S. despite economic difficulties and rising unemployment in the country. The company has welcomed the team and expects a successful future with them. With a focus on personal attention and product knowledge, this new team of sales representatives is sure to carry on Allied’s tradition of dedicated customer service.

Jessica D’Andreamatteo, a recent graduate of the Indiana University (News - Alert) of Pennsylvania, looks forward to the start of her career in the wire and cable industry at Allied’s headquarters in Pennsylvania. Blair Dameron, another new PA representative, brings vast product knowledge to the team from his work at Fastenal. Wisconsin welcomes Cory Kleeba and James Toshner, alumni of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with experience in sales and marketing. Allied’s New England branch adds Stephanie Whitney, previously a Sales Manager Trainee at Bisco Industries, and a graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University where she studied Business and Dance. Chantay Williams and Michael Galena join Allied’s newest location in Las Vegas, Nevada, opened in November 2010. Williams has a history with the wire and cable industry as a Sales and Product Manager at Arrow Electronics (News - Alert).

In a press release, new PA representative, Blair Dameron, said, “Allied was one of my most reliable vendors while at Fastenal…their reliability and customer service as well as an amazing staff were things I truly believed in. I am excited to have the opportunity to join the Allied team.”

Allied Wire & Cable was in news recently when it announced the success of their 4th Annual Charity Week, which ran from December 14 to December 18 2009. Each year, Allied sets aside a portion of sales for a full week in December to donate to their charity of choice. This year’s benefactor was the Make-A-Wish Foundation, chosen by Allied’s customers in the first month-long poll held on their website. Allied has proudly supported Make-A-Wish for several years, including previous charity weeks, and were excited to have the opportunity to do so again.
