Cox Enterprises Partners with The League of United Latin American Citizens

Cox (News - Alert) Enterprises, a leading communications, media and automotive services company, has entered a national partnership with The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC).

According to the terms of the partnership, Cox will provide monetary support, as well as promote LULAC and its initiatives through Cox's media properties. Morover, it will also serve as a judicial level sponsor at LULAC's 2011 annual convention, as well as co-sponsor the Youth Awards Banquet. The convention takes place June 27 – July 2 in Cincinnati, Ohio and draws more than 20,000 participants each year, including top leaders from government, business, and the Hispanic community.  

"We're proud to partner with the nation's largest and oldest Hispanic organization," said Robert Cahn, Cox Enterprises' senior director of leadership development, diversity and training, in a statement. "LULAC and Cox operate in many of the same locations across the country, and we believe that diversity and the contribution of the Hispanic community makes these locations stronger."

"We are proud of the partnership with Cox and look forward to a  long friendship with a company that has a strong record of bringing vital resources to the Latino community," said Brent Wilkes, LULAC's national executive director.  "LULAC recognizes Cox's longstanding efforts to support countless organizations across the country because they, like LULAC, understand the importance of providing vital resources to our populations."

"In addition to being a sponsor of our 82nd national convention in Cincinnati, we are also excited to have Cox sponsor LULAC's 2012 National Legislative Conference and Awards Gala where critical issues affecting Hispanics will be addressed and where key leader's strong commitment to the Hispanic community will be highlighted," added Wilkes. 

In addition to LULAC, Cox also has national partnerships with the Human Rights Campaign and the National Urban League. Cox and its companies also actively support countless local diversity organizations across the country.
