San Francisco Bay Area Spiced up with Verizon and Comcast

Consumers in the San Francisco Bay area looking to always stay connected and entertained wherever they are now have another option. Verizon Wireless and Comcast (News - Alert) are making this possible by offering each other's services in that region.

“Through our agreement with Verizon Wireless (News - Alert), we're delivering even more value for consumers by providing an entertainment and communications solution that fits their lifestyle both in and outside the home,” said Steve White, president of Comcast's West Division, in a press release.

Together, the companies are expected to offer consumers more value, convenience and choices with easy access to Comcast's Xfinity services and Verizon Wireless offerings.

Further, new customers who sign up for both a qualifying Xfinity offering and a Verizon Wireless smartphone or tablet plan with a new two-year customer agreement will be eligible to receive a Visa prepaid card valued up to $300.

Comcast is already delivering exceptional entertainment and communications services. According to company officials, the addition of Verizon Wireless 4G LTE (News - Alert) and 3G networks will be the ideal complement to complete the package.

The intention to offer each other's products was announced in December 2011. the complemented services are already available in certain areas and will now be made available in parts of San Francisco also.

“We launched earlier this month in Seattle and Portland, Oregon and now, consumers in the San Francisco Bay area who want a terrific wireless, entertainment and communications experience can find everything they need,” said Kevin Zavaglia, region president of Verizon Wireless.

Based on customer feedback, both companies have future plans of expanding, enhancing and evolving the program to cater to customers' growing needs.
