WideOrbit Introduces Integrated Cable Network Solution

By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor

WO Network, a new integrated solution featuring robust Advertising Sales, Traffic and Program Management systems, was recently launched by WideOrbit, Inc. The comprehensive solution caters to cable networks, and addresses their specific requirements. The WO Network will be officially showcased at the 2012 NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 16-19.

“WO Network is truly the first system of its kind, bridging the gap that currently exists in the marketplace for an integrated solution that affects virtually every department at a cable network,” said Oscar Rondon, Director, Cable Network Sales Systems for WideOrbit. “The system’s unique blend of Ad Sales, Traffic and Program Management in one product offering is unparalleled for its scalability, flexibility, ease of use and revenue generating opportunities.”

The WideOrbit service will provide cable operators with a number of advantages, including an Ad Sales system, which manages names and elements, rate cards, deal planning, maintenance and stewardship across multiple platforms; a Program Management system, which allows cable networks to manage all acquired and produced program content – scheduling, media, rights management and financial management across all linear and non-linear programs; and a Traffic system, widely deployed with unsurpassed inventory and revenue reporting, format and material management, billing and receivables.

“WideOrbit has more than 120 Networks on our WO Traffic platform,” said Eric R. Mathewson, Founder and CEO of WideOrbit. “With the introduction of WO Network, we look forward to helping incremental networks with their complete system needs.”

Most cable networks face challenges with respect to managing disparate databases, as well as vendors, and solutions. With WO Network, cable networks can now address the issue as the single, integrated solution reduces overall cost of ownership, distributes robust and flexible reporting, optimizes a consistent user experience, mitigates double entry of reference data, formats and deals and offers a single point of call for delivering support over all issues.
