By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor

The Cable Show 2012 for the Multicultural TV Breakfast and panel discussions will see the gathering of industry leaders from Cable TV's leadership. Presented by two major TV trade publications, the Broadcasting and Cable and the Multichannel News, the breakfast is considered a "must-attend" event among executives in the business of television focusing on multicultural audiences.

The TV Breakfast will be hosted between 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in Room 205A of the Boston Convention Center on May 22, 2012.

"Each year, the Multicultural TV Breakfast has increased in popularity, which is reflective of the increasing importance of multicultural customers to the cable TV industry," said Louis Hillelson, Group Publisher for Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News.

The show has always attracted top executives from production companies, programming networks, cable TV groups, financial investment firms, research firms and advertisement organizations. The breakfast show focuses on reflecting how businesses serving the different ethnic segments of cable TV customers are affected by various changes.

The program for 2012 slightly varies from previous programs and will include two thirty-minute discussions, each focusing on a unique topic.

To be conducted on a business to business perspective, the “Content & Its Distribution across Platforms” discussion will cover the different programming options available and the related opportunities and challenges that its distribution across platforms through new technologies creates.

The second discussion, “Driving Revenues and Attracting Viewers,” will cover the relationship between businesses and consumers, and focus on marketing and promotional efforts that can be undertaken to attract viewers, improve customer growth and drive revenues through advertising, transaction and subscription sales.

The show will assemble leading executives from cable TV companies (MSO) and programming networks including Rajan Singh, EVP of International Business for News Corp (News - Alert) Star US; Berto Guzman, VP Affiliate sales and Marketing, nuvoTV; Glenn Goldsmith, VP of Programming for Mediacom; and Suresh Bala Iyer, CEO at Zee Americas and Veria Media as the main panelists.

The group will discuss market shifts and the impact of those changes within the Cable TV industry and their individual companies as well.
