Signiant recently announced that the company’s software solutions are gaining a worldwide momentum amidst telecommunications providers. Telecom operators Emitel Poland and Telecom Italia (News - Alert) have recently adopted Signiant software for accelerated and secure file movement of video-on-demand (VOD) services and the growth of their data aggregation and distribution offerings as well.

Issues such as network latency, non-availability of asset tracking tools, and insufficient network security have blocked service providers from efficiently implementing file-based media workflows that are used to deliver managed services and support internal processes. The suite of software-based solutions from Signiant addresses these problems and enables providers to automate, accelerate, and manage the secure exchange of important media assets.

The suite includes optimized Media Exchange desktop, Managers+Agents for automatic file transfers, mobile and web interfaces for transferring file-based media, Media Shuttle that supports cloud-based file-sharing services, and advanced resource management and workflow integration capabilities. The enterprise-class software solutions of Signiant address different facets of file-based content movement across global networks.

The Polish telecom provider Emitel has purchased Signiant software to support its content distribution management infrastructure for the national television market. Telecom Italia, one of the largest telecommunications providers in Italy, has recently deployed Signiant's Managers+Agents and Signiant Media Exchange solutions to aggregate and distribute content supporting its workflows services.
