Azuki Systems, ARRIS Group Help Service Providers Deploy TV Everywhere Services

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Azuki Systems (News - Alert), a video delivery solutions provider, announced partnership with ARRIS Group, a global communications technology company specializing in the design, engineering and supply of communications and IP technologies, to deliver a pre-integrated video solution for service providers.

The collaboration integrates Azuki Media Platform with ARRIS ConvergeMedia Management Suite (CMM) software to help service providers quickly and cost-effectively deploy on-premise, multi-screen TV Everywhere services to their subscribers.

The solution allows service providers to leverage first-screen, video-on-demand (VOD) assets to extend and monetize multi-screen services at home, and on-the-go via the ARRIS SkyVision (News - Alert) advertising platform.

"The rapid proliferation of multi-screen devices represents a huge opportunity for service providers -- but multi-screen implementations must be simple, cost-effective and fast-to-deploy," said Neerav Shah, vice president, Advertising Solutions Group from ARRIS, in a statement.

"This collaboration between Azuki and ARRIS delivers all of that, and more,” Shah added. “Azuki's approach to TV Everywhere and its connector-based architecture augments the power of our ConvergeMedia Management Suite to reach multi-screen devices over any network, anywhere."

The integrated solution delivers managed and optimized over-the-top (OTT) video to any screen over any network and enables flexible management of on-demand content, assets, billing and workflow.  With this solution, customers get a simple, seamless and ready-to-deploy TV Everywhere solution.

With these features, the solution makes deploying a turnkey, integrated multi-screen video offering affordable and less time consuming. Service providers can share entitlements and provide screen shifting from first-screen to all-screen devices inside and outside of the home.

By leveraging the exiting back-office infrastructure, including metadata, account information, content files, and VOD assets, service providers can expand reach to all devices and screens and deliver screen shifting between all devices.

"By collaborating with a widely regarded leader like ARRIS to deliver this integrated solution, we've empowered service providers to quickly, easily and cost-effectively deploy multi-screen TV Everywhere and fully monetize this opportunity beyond limited authentication services," said John Clancy, president and CEO of Azuki Systems, in a statement.

Recently, Azuki Systems announced additions to its Azuki Media Platform, the industry leading managed and optimized over-the-top multi-screen video delivery solution.

The new solution allows customers to capitalize and monetize on the TV Everywhere opportunity by intelligently helping them to extend their backend systems to support multi-screen video delivery, without complexities or costly integration.
