Verizon (News - Alert) residential consumers will benefit from the new FiOS bundled packages now offered. Consumers can select from the fastest-ever FiOS Internet service, which provides advanced flexibility that allows them to choose personalized bundles based on their lifestyle and requirements.

Verizon is offering super fast speeds, available in a range of double- and triple-play bundles, along with stand-alone service. This will give consumers a much wider choice allowing them to cater to their ever changing demands and requirements that range from online entertainment, news, information communications and e-commerce.  

"A revolution in speed has arrived,” said Bob Mudge, president of Verizon's consumer and mass market business unit. “The new FiOS (News - Alert) Internet speed and bundle options provide incredible value, and represent the most significant mass scale, consumer broadband speed enhancement in the nation in the past decade."

The new FiOS Internet tiers that offer the fastest speeds are called FiOS Quantum (News - Alert) and have upload/download speeds of 50/25, 75/35, 150/65 and 300/65 megabits per second (Mbps). Out of this, three speeds, namely 75/35, 150/65 and 300/65, are now twice as fast as those previously offered.

Verizon will continue to offer its entry-level speed of 15/5 Mbps.

"Consumers will receive great value from the FiOS Quantum speeds and our customizable bundles,” said Mike Ritter, chief marketing officer at Verizon's consumer and mass market business unit. “As consumers stream and watch more movies, sports and shows in their homes on devices other than traditional TVs, such as smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles, smart TVs and Blu-ray players, they need faster broadband to enhance their experience."

New customers will be able to choose from a number of flexible bundles that include triple-play bundles of 15/5 Mbps FiOS Internet, FiOS TV and FiOS Digital Voice. The unlimited calling feature will start from $99.99 and go upto $144.99 per month, based on which FiOS TV package is ordered.
