Verizon Wireless and Time Warner (News - Alert) Cable have teamed-up in Maine to offer new and existing customers greater choice, value and convenience in their wireless and entertainment packages.

Calling this partnership a “big win” for customers looking for a more complete entertainment and communications offering for inside the home and wherever they go, Paul Schonewolf, area vice president for operations at Time Warner Cable, said that the joining together of products and services from Time Warner Cable and Verizon (News - Alert) Wireless into a single offer provides customers more choice, convenience and greater value.

Verizon Wireless operates the 4G LTE network and the 3G network, while Time Warner Cable is a provider of video, high-speed data and voice services in the United States. “Time Warner Cable delivers high quality entertainment and communications services in Maine and the Verizon Wireless (News - Alert) 4G LTE network is the perfect complement to round out that offering,” said Christine Berberich, president for New England at Verizon Wireless.

Thanks to the partnership between the two companies, customers in Portland, Augusta (News - Alert), Bangor, Waterville, Brunswick, Auburn and Presque Isle can now purchase packages of Time Warner Cable video, Internet and voice services. In addition, they can also purchase Verizon Wireless smartphones and tablets from both companies.

From a range of offers -- including video, Internet, home phone and mobile service -- customers can select their combination of services, according to companies’ officials. Moreover in the package of Verizon Wireless offer, Warner Cable’s Ultimate Internet and SignatureHome are also available.

This year, both the companies started on joint marketing initiatives in cities in Alabama, Kansas, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina and Wisconsin. In the coming months, the companies plan to introduce these packages and services in additional Time Warner Cable-served communities.

“Our joint marketing with Time Warner Cable is built upon the belief that wireless, communications and entertainment are all essential services in the lives of our mutual customer bases,” Berberich said.

Recently, Verizon Wireless enhanced voice and 4G LTE network coverage in Hudson, Massachusetts.
