SeaChange's Adrenalin Software and Services Selected by Two More Major U.S. MSOs

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

SeaChange International’s (News - Alert) Adrenalin next-generation video back office software and services have reportedly been selected by two more major U.S. multiple systems operators (MSO). The Adrenalin software deployed by them will have advanced features like centralized deployment configuration, Linux-based platform, automatic installs and upgrades and more.

According to SeaChange, the Adrenalin Web-centric video back office software and service for multi-screen support, uses an open, service-oriented architecture (SOA) to deliver a consistent television experience that avails tens of millions of video assets to thousands of device types across multiple networks deployed in a network or hosted model.

Operators who wish to transform their on-demand services to offer rich and seamless user experience across mobile, PC and TV screens can install Adrenalin. The solution will be available to them with extensive cross promotional capabilities and fully integrated linear and non-linear advertising.

“We are very pleased to continue expansion of Adrenalin globally by adding two more major U.S. cable operators,” commented SeaChange CTO Steven Davi. “Customers worldwide are choosing our SeaChange platform for its unmatched ability to reduce operational and capital expenses through centralization and to increase revenue through delivery of multi-screen services. Our open and flexible back office has enabled many video service operators' on-demand services to get off the ground rapidly and reliably, while establishing a cost-efficient path to support subscriber growth and add new services and devices for a continually compelling offering.”

Notable features and benefits of SeaChange’s Adrenalin include horizontal n+1 scaling and stateless servers, which ensure load balancing and independent scaling at the network center or at its edge; browser-based operator interfaces, which deliver common look and feel; and open interfaces based on REST, which ensure components have better availability, scalability and independent upgrades.
