SeaChange's Adrenalin Expands to Major Cable Providers

By Ray Deck, TMCnet Contributing Writer

SeaChange was ranked among the top 250 software companies in the world, and likely among the top companies that you've never heard of. SeaChange enables transformative multi-screen video services through an open, cloud-based software platform that has been adopted by cable, IPTV (News - Alert) and mobile companies worldwide. Many of the most powerful media brands in the world use SeaChange for their multi-screen needs.

The influence of SeaChange is definitely trending up as Adrenalin, the flagship product of SeaChange expanded to two more major U.S. cable operators. Everybody is being tight-lipped about which two, for reasons yet undisclosed. It's a secret, and we don't know why.

SeaChange CTO, Steven Davi commented, “We are very pleased to continue expansion of Adrenalin globally by adding two more major U.S. cable operators. Customers worldwide are choosing our SeaChange platform for its unmatched ability to reduce operational and capital expenses through centralization and to increase revenue through delivery of multi-screen services. Our open and flexible back office has enabled many video service operators’ on-demand services to get off the ground rapidly and reliably, while establishing a cost-efficient path to support subscriber growth and add new services and devices for a continually compelling offering.”

Adrenalin is a Linux-based video back office, and it has the ability to deploy from a centralized location while supporting a virtualized environment that enables automatic installations and upgrades. Low maintenance software is in high-demand, and Adrenalin definitely fits that bill. Adrenalin is also scalable, making it an attractive solution for large cable providers that service a customer base that is always in flux.

SeaChange is not likely to headline the news, but it is its brand of feature-rich reliability that will always lead the way in software.
