L-com Makes Ethernet Infrastructure Less Complicated With its New HyperLink PoE Units

By David Gitonga, TMCnet Contributing Writer

On the 31st of August this year, L-com, Inc, a designer and producer of wired and wireless connectivity products introduced a new cutting edge technology into the market. The HyperLink brand Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) Injector/Midspans with integral power supplies. In simple words, this is a device that does away with the need for different isolated power supply cables in a network.

The Injector/Power supply units are available in 12VDC, 24VDC, 48VDC and 56VDC. There has even been a twist from the native desktop type models. The company has also offered new compact wall mount models that can be directly plugged into a wall’s electrical outlet increasing its compatibility with existing power sources.

Patrick Pesa, the director of product development, strongly believes in the electronics theory of miniaturization. He said, “Everything is getting smaller and tighter when it comes to connectivity.”  He also made it known that the company “is actively working on ways to make the setup of networked equipment smaller and easier for our users so they can maximize the use of their networking equipment spaces.”

This is a major breakthrough in communication technology since the laying down of Ethernet infrastructure is bound to get less complicated and increasingly more cost effective. Power needed to run repeaters will no longer have to be sourced from a foreign circuit, a phenomenon that is in synchrony with the need for compatibility and eco-friendly lifestyles.

To ease the transition to this technology, L-com (News - Alert) has ensured that all the new PoE units are in stock at the distribution center in Florida, USA, for shipment on the same day that they are ordered. In addition, the company’s website has loads of information about the products allowing for easy selection and the purchase of the gadget of choice online.

This advancement will no doubt enhance L-com’s portfolio, the global designer and manufacturer of hyperlink products and custom-made network products. The recipient of the 2012 Stevie award for customer service can with no doubt have the right to call itself the “one stop source” for all wired and wireless connectivity needs.
