Television is used to equip, empower and entertain. The Inspiration Networks (INSP) is one such company on which the cable industry relies for quality family friendly programming with a true diversity and ethnic balance, and is now available in parts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The company delivers redemptive programming to cable and satellite TV audiences nationwide.

INSP recently announced the expansion of its flagship network throughout Comcast's (News - Alert) Freedom Region serving Greater Philadelphia and New Jersey. INSP is now offered on channel 295 of the Xfinity TV lineup. The announcement was made by Mark Kang, SVP of Worldwide Distribution for The Inspiration Networks.

"The launch of INSP offers over two million Comcast subscribers a fresh lineup of classic dramas, award-winning movies and critically-acclaimed short form programming," said Mark Kang, senior vice president of Worldwide Distribution at INSP.

"With a nearly 400-percent ratings increase over the past 18 months, INSP continues to resonate with those who desire programming that celebrate time-honored values,” Kang added. “Our viewers depend on us to provide content that can be watched by the whole family and have rewarded our brand of 'lunge-free TV' by making INSP a top 40 network for average length viewed, and #2 in primetime ratings of independent networks."

INSP is available in more than 72 million households across the U.S. via cable and DBS. INSP features original and exclusive music programs and a wide variety of family friendly entertainment, including The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, Brady Bunch, Happy Days and feature films.

INSP is distributed to more than 2,800 cable systems and to DIRECTV and DISH Network.

The company recently acquired the exclusive cable rights to The High Chaparral from CBS Television Distribution.

The company has also signed a multi-year agreement with NBCUniversal Cable and New Media Distribution for the exclusive basic cable rights for THE VIRGINIAN. The announcement was made by Doug Butts, SVP Programming, INSP.
