Galvanize Employs Comcast to Deliver Bandwidth Connectivity to its Customers

By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor

Comcast (News - Alert) Corporation recently announced that its Business Class Ethernet will be used by Galvanize to deliver bandwidth connectivity to its entrepreneur customers and startup company members.

Comcast is one of the premier providers of information and communications products and services.

In a statement, Jim Deters, founder of Galvanize, said that, “We chose Comcast because they were not only the clear leader for Business Class Ethernet, but they came highly recommended from trusted friends, colleagues, and other businesses in the area. Comcast's strong interest in aligning with a community focused on innovation affirmed in our mind that we had found the right partner. The planning, guidance, and delivery provided by the Comcast team gave all the companies in our space rock solid service on which to run their businesses.”

“High-speed connectivity is like oxygen to our community – it must be insanely fast, plentiful and be reliable,” he said.

Galvanize essentially provides startups with a community ranging both in size and growth, beginning with a community area featuring “hot desks ” – ideal for startups or solo innovators that work remotely – while for established companies, Galvanize provides permanent desks and “G Suites.”

The company’s building can be accessed by the members 24/7 and has been built with Gather, a full-service café open to the public and community as a place to congregate, work and drive creativity.

However, the community, built within Galvanize, is absolutely unique and ideal for entrepreneurs and startups. The company provides a community that supports and drives knowledge sharing across company lines and among different disciplines.

Rich Jennings, regional senior vice president of Comcast in Colorado, said that, “For entrepreneurs, we know that scalable and reliable connectivity is second only to coffee in terms of importance. While Comcast isn’t in the caffeine business, we have connectivity handled. It’s no secret that advanced technology is the foundation for success in the startup world, and that’s why it’s so rewarding to partner with forward thinking organizations such as Galvanize to support entrepreneurs and power the next generation of innovation.”

With an Ethernet Dedicated Internet (EDI) and Ethernet Private Line (EPL) connection from Comcast, issues pertaining to Internet security and speed were effectively addressed.

Ideal for organizations which need greater bandwidth and a highly secure and dedicated connection between their Local Area Network and the public Internet, an Ethernet-dedicated Internet serves to deliver Ethernet Virtual Connection between the Galvanize location and a Comcast Internet Point of Presence router.
