Cogeco Cable, Inc. Enhances Internet Speeds, Data Capacity for its Customers in Quebec

The rapidly increasing consumption of data-oriented services such as streaming videos, music and high-speed gaming has giving rise to the need for high-speed Internet services across the globe.
Telecommunication service providers have been developing cutting-edge offerings to address the trend, while legacy services are being upgraded to serve their customers in a better way.
Customers of the High-Speed Internet (HIS) services of Cogeco Cable, Inc. living in Quebec, Canada will now be able to enjoy increased upload and download speeds and monthly transfer capacity. The company telecommunications company, a well-known hybrid fiber coaxial cable operator in the North American region, has upgraded its Express 5, Express 10, Turbo 14, Turbo 20 and Ultimate 60 high-speed Internet packages.
No extra charges will be levied upon the subscribers for enhanced services, introduced February 1, 2013.
Maximum download speed for the Express 5 package has increased by yet another 2 Mbps from 3Mbps, while a date rate of 900 Kbps has been added to the maximum upload speed to make it 1.5 Mbps now.
Monthly data transfer capacity of the package is now 25 GB.
Similarly, the Express 10 package has been upgraded with increments of 3 Mbps and 700 Kbps in its maximum download and upload speeds – which now become 10 Mbps and 1.5 Mbps, respectively.
New monthly data transfer capacity for the package is 60 GB.
Upload speeds for the Turbo 14 package and the Turbo 20 package have been increased by 1 Mbps and 0.5 Mbps, respectively as well. Maximum download speeds and monthly data transfer capacities of both these packages are 14 Mbps and 20 Mbps; and 80 GB and 100 GB now.
New upload speed for both the packages is 2 Mbps.

In December 2012, Asian Television Network International Limited (ATN) announced that Cogeco Cable has expanded its South Asian channel lineup to include 26 channels from ATN. The new channels were launched on December 12, 2012 in different Genres including General Entertainment, Bollywood Movies, News & Current Affairs, Music, Lifestyle, and regional language channels such as Punjabi, Bangla, Tamil and Urdu.
