Levels Beyond Unveils Reach Engine Stage at NAB

By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor

Levels Beyond unveiled a hybrid cloud offering, Reach Engine Stage, at NAB 2013. Organizations can access content across the globe using this offering, thereby promoting internal association and external distribution and retailing. Streamlined media administration, distribution, optimization and monetization capabilities for video are offered by Levels Beyond’s software platform, Reach Engine.

The latest version of Reach Engine Stage is a hosted video operating system offering the competency to synchronize with local media libraries, like Level Beyond’s on-site Reach Engine Studio. The latest offering therefore offers protected data and media administration along with a sturdy application platform.

Multi-site production teams can now upload alternative content and metadata to the cloud using Reach Engine Stage, leveraging the benefits of shared workflow and connectivity. Reach Engine Stage therefore facilitates more proficient and affordable association. One of the preliminary applications unveiled with Reach Engine Stage is the well-known shopping cart website. The portal can be used by both internal users and outside customers, and allows them to browse approved content, select a file and format, and distribute or buy information. Website and social media-based analytics can be monitored with a supplementary application, making it possible to assess and react to audience response and interest.

In a statement, Art Raymond, CEO of Levels Beyond, said, “Reach Engine Stage is content empowerment for a new age of video consumption. It untethers local content libraries so producers can take full advantage of the paradigm shift currently under way on how people interact with and publish video content. Firms will need to adapt quickly to cloud-based video production and distribution to prosper and thrive. We believe a hybrid cloud video model with locally managed assets offers content producers a firm foundation to optimize the unprecedented ROI that’s becoming available to them.”

Programmers can uncover direct metadata matches from hundreds of millions of video resources using the open API available with Reach Engine Stage, thereby improving the product’s usefulness for the next-generation of video utilization and applications.
