Entropic (News - Alert) has unveiled its next-generation, solo-chip Multimedia over Coax Alliance or MoCA 2.0 system solution, the EN2810, at the Cable Show 2013. Entropic’s initial MoCA 2.0 solution is currently used in several OEM platforms. A more affordable and decreased power solution with no change in performance is delivered in the form of the EN2810. The EN2810 is pin compatible with Entropic's most recent MoCA 1.1 chip, allowing OEMs to upgrade their products to MoCA 2.0 in a simplified manner.

The demand for a high-speed, dependable MoCA 2.0 backbone for distributing entertainment services over wired or MoCA home networks has therefore increased.
