NetCracker Technology BSS to Transform Canal Digital Kabel-TV Billing Environment

Currently the company provides HDTV to customers in Norway delivering more than 100 different TV channels in analog, digital, HD, or 3D quality using hybrid fiber-coaxial and fiber-to-the-home technologies. The new solution will enhance the flexibility and functionality that is required to improve Canal Digital’s product and service offerings. VoIP customers will be first migrated to the NetCracker platform and then digital TV and broadband customers will be migrated to the new platform.
NetCracker’s solution meets all of Canal Digital’s current billing and demands of customers for new products and services. It will handle wicomplex rating and billing needs of creative bundled offerings like multichannel video delivery. This will streamline the operating and maintaining aspects of the billing system, explained officials.
The BSS transformation is designed to streamline operations and reduce costs by consolidating M-net’s billing platforms onto the NetCracker solution. The program is also designed to implement billing functionality that will enable M-net to pursue new revenue sources and enrich the customer experience by developing and launching new service offerings. The first major initiative to be supported by the billing solution is M-net’s interconnect billing service.
Sylvain Seignour, NetCracker’s vice president Americas and Europe said that, “Upgrading its billing system will allow Canal Digital Kabel-TV to enhance the service experience of its customers and maintain its leadership position in the market.”
Seignour also pointed out that Canal Digital will be able to enhance its operations and look forward to attaining growth targets. NetCracker helps communications service providers and cable operators to deliver comprehensive, end-to-end solutions to optimize their enterprises.
Recently M-net Telekommunikations GmbH (M-net) went live with NetCracker’s next-generation BSS solution.
