TVC Can Offer 10 GBPS in 10 Days

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor

Tech Valley Communications (TVC) says it can offer Ethernet and Wavelength services in just 10 days.

This offering applies to point-to-point circuits at all on-net locations throughout the Tech Valley Communications network.

TVC is a facilities-based telecommunications service provider operating networks in Upstate New York and Northern New England with connectivity to Canada.

It intends to quickly respond to customer demand for Ethernet and Wavelength services through this innovative program.

"Often, customers are forced to wait weeks or months for high bandwidth services from other providers. Knowing that our customers operate at light speed, the '10 Gigs in 10 Days' initiative demonstrates that Tech Valley Communications can keep pace," said Kevin O'Connor, president and chief executive officer of Tech Valley Communications.

By supporting data speeds up to 10 billion bits per second, the TVC network provides customers with easy access to a cost-effective, reliable service. This service says TVC can scale as per the needs of its client.

"Being able to respond to customer demand with the fastest installation intervals in this region provides our clients with quick access to the bandwidth they need, when they need it, and that is what Tech Valley is all about," said O'Connor.

Tech Valley also provides Internet Access, Voice, Virtual PBX (News - Alert) and Colocation services in addition to its data offerings. The company was in news last month for announcing the appointment of Robert "Bob" Cochran as senior director of Sales Engineering.

Cochran has a total of 15 years of experience in Sales Engineering and Network Design Engineering within the communications industry. He will report directly to Patrick Coughlin, senior vice president, Sales and Marketing for TVC and will be responsible for driving and managing the technical solution development on behalf of the Sales organization.

In April, TVC also signed a definitive Asset Purchase Agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Vermont-based TelJet Longhaul.
