All over the world, television and media companies are competing with one another to make their content interactive.

artec technologies AG has announced that the company is using RealNetworks (News - Alert) Helix Universal Server to introduce new capabilities. XENTAURIX media and broadcast systems facilitate various media related functions such as media deployment, broadcast compliance monitoring, and media editing.

XENTAURIX Mobile-TV solution makes TV interactive like never before. It helps users to define their own unique TV stations with both live and time-shifted content. Also, it is easier to shift between two channels using this solution. XENTAURIX solution can also be used to call up an individual video clip from a clip list in the user’s mobile TV interface. The users can use intuitive search terms.

There will be time-lined image frames of all of the recordings available in story boards. This feature makes it easier to search and navigate the listings. XENTAURIX Mobile-TV solution now attains even higher level with Helix Universal Server and facilitates call up TV broadcasts over extended periods of time.

The XENTAURIX media and broadcast systems can also be used for long-term video recorder for compliance recording. They can also be used to log broadcasted commercials for their customers.

“There is a great demand for mobile TV solutions,” says Ingo Hoffmann, CTO, artec technologies AG. “Users want to connect with TV stations around the world on their smartphones and tablets and even directly target specific stations and define their own programs. This is a luxury previously only accessible to VIPs who received clips according to predefined criteria. With this new technology, it’s now available for anyone with a smartphone,” says Hoffmann

Recently, the company was selected by Qatar's leading news agency for a new TV/Radio recording and information system. This new system will enable the editors of the agency to generate and evaluate real-time information.
