Cbeyond Plans Live Demos & More For ChannelVision Expo 2014

By Steve Anderson, Contributing TMCnet Writer

With the Consumer Electronics Show (CES (News - Alert)) event now one for the history books in Las Vegas, it's understandable to think that there's nothing big in tech exhibitions until then. But with the freezing cold temperatures experienced in much of the United States these days, a trip to Miami might sound like a particularly good idea. These two concepts intermingle well at the ChannelVision Expo in Miami, and Cbeyond (News - Alert) has some big plans for the next big technology show.

ChannelVision Expo is collocated with ITEXPO, one of the biggest events in the information technology field, so there will be plenty on hand for users to see and experience, as well as chances to get together and network. But what Cbeyond has planned for the show should make an already exciting event even better. Cbeyond's plans for ChannelVision Expo start with the TotalCloud Foundation system and go on from there.

With TotalCloud Foundation—which launched just a few weeks ago—users get access to the kind of advantages that cloud computing can offer, but without the need to get into a fully managed environment. TotalCloud Foundation allows businesses with a higher level of technical prowess and a willingness to shoulder some of the load the ability to take control of things like setting up backups and putting out anti-virus systems, as well as running operating system patches. This better allows companies to take more control over cloud systems, and better tailor needed updates.

Better yet, TotalCloud Foundation offers a variety of useful features, like round-the-clock support via phone and email, a service level agreement (SLA) of 100 percent uptime, monitoring services for both networks and servers, full administrative access with a private server-level firewall, and more. With these features, companies get access to not only tailored solutions, but also safe and powerful solutions, making TotalCloud Foundation a versatile solution for bringing in cloud systems.

That's not all Cbeyond has in store for ChannelVision Expo attendees; the company also plans to bring a complete demo of Cbeyond PartnerAccess to the show. With PartnerAccess, Cbeyond's new partner portal system, users get access to several new features to help drive sales operations for Cbeyond partners, including training features, product information, billing and invoicing systems, and an assortment of sales tools besides.

Cbeyond even has plans to join in on panel discussions, as Cbeyond's CTO and executive vice president will join in the “Trust is the Backbone of Your Cloud Success” panel on Tuesday, January 28, part of the Cloud4SMB event. Wednesday, January 29 will see Cbeyond director of channel marketing join in on the “Adding Communications to Your Product Suite” panel. Finally, later that day, senior director of product management in cloud services Satish Hernachandran will offer a presentation called “Embrace the Cloud: How Using Cloud-Based Solutions Within Business Helps Drive Sales.”

There's going to be quite a bit going on at the ChannelVision Expo event, thanks to both events set for the show itself and its collocation with ITEXPO (News - Alert), and more videos on this and other topics can be found here. Those looking for a chance to get up to date in communications technology will have plenty to see and do at the event, and there's always a significant advantage in being able to get together with others in the field for networking purposes. It's going to be huge in Miami soon, so be sure to get signed up while there's still time!
