AT&T (News - Alert) has continued to expand the ways U-verse TV customers enjoy and control their U-verse services, from wherever they are.

AT&T has been offering U-verse as an integrated bundle of IP services that include AT&T U-verse TV, AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet and AT&T U-verse Voice. U-verse Internet offers a variety of speed options and includes wireless home networking capability. U-verse Internet packages include access to more than 32,000 hot spots on the nation’s largest Wi-Fi network, so customers can stay connected at home or on-the-go.

The company has recently announced that it is now offering 27 additional live channels with the U-verse App for tablets and smartphones. Users can take advantage of this new app to watch popular shows at home or on the go.

"We all want the freedom and flexibility to watch TV on the devices we're using most," said Mel Coker, chief marketing officer, AT&T Home Solutions. "We're giving customers more live TV channels on more devices, all included at a great value as part of their regular TV packages. We look forward to working with content providers to bring more live content to customers soon."

AT&T initially launched its U-verse App in October 2013 and has gained many new customers interested in using the mobile app. In addition to live channels, the U-verse app also offers customers other features at no extra cost such as: on-demand TV shows and movies, a full-featured U-verse remote control with channel guide and also advanced search functions to help user find the content they want. Users can also get extra content and information about the TV shows they love to watch on the available channels.

By downloading the latest U-verse app, users can currently watch 136 total live channels inside the home and 44 total live channels outside the home.
