TrueVisions recently announced the deployment of Nevion (News - Alert)'s live media transport solutions suite, which provides support to its wide range of high-definition offerings.

TrueVisions is a cable and satellite television operator in Thailand and Nevion is a specialist in transporting media from the camera to the home.

The combined live media solution includes an integration of Nevion Flashlink DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) multiplexers and Nevion VikinX routers. Flashlink multiplexer provides fiber connectivity, CWDM/DWDM point to point links, nationwide optical links, and signal processing solutions such as format conversion, frame synchronizers, embedders, de-embedders, couplers, up/down/cross-converters, optical and distribution amplifiers, to the TrueVisions' offsite backup recovery location.

Nevion's VikinX, an expendable 3G high definition 256x256 router, provides live broadcast and complete signal flow at the TrueVision's Disaster Recovery site, for both the main as well as the backup paths. The VikinX router supports all professional broadcast signals including, 3G, HD, SD-SDI, DVB-ASI, AES, Analog Video, Analog Audio, and RS-422 machine control.
