Viamedia Enters into Partnership Agreement with Consolidated Communications

By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

Viamedia, one of the television industry's leading independent providers of outsourced local television advertising services on behalf of cable companies, has entered into a partnership with Consolidated Communications (News - Alert).

Consolidated Communications is one of the largest independent communications providers in the United States. The company offers a wide range of services over its technologically advanced IP-based network, including local and long distance telephone, digital phone, high-speed Internet access and digital TV.

After the partnership, Viamedia will continue to serve as the company's strategic advertising representative in the important markets of Sacramento, California and Kansas City, Kansas.

Thanks to the pact, Viamedia will now be able to expand to the new markets of Champaign, IL, and Pittsburgh, PA.

“We are pleased to continue our relationship with Consolidated Communications and look forward to introducing Viamedia to Champaign and Pittsburgh,” said Mark Lieberman, president and CEO, Viamedia, in a statement

Lieberman said that Consolidated Communications has a long and deep history in each of its markets, and as a trusted resource for the communities they serve, they are highly regarded for their customer-focused solutions.

“We are excited to continue working with Viamedia as we expand our relationship to new territories,” said Jaime Montes, senior product manager, Consolidated Communications.

Montes said that with Viamedia as the partner, the company will provide commercial customers with the most innovative products they need to help their businesses grow.

The partnership with Consolidated Communications also helps Viamedia to further bolster the company's unprecedented growth to key markets across the country.  With its multiple locations in Lexington, Kentucky and New York City, Viamedia has digital representatives across 68 markets in the U.S. serving 53 MVPD partners and more than 12,000 local advertisers.

TMCnet in December reported that Consolidated Communications announced the expansion of its enterprise and commercial services to the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area.

The expansion builds on the success of Consolidated Communications’ network that currently operates commercial and residential services in the greater Houston area, as well as Illinois, California, Kansas, Missouri and Pennsylvania.

The company now owns 30,000 fiber miles of network in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area, which has been used to serve its wholesale and carrier customers to date. It will begin offering the new redundant fiber network to enterprise customers, where nearly 10,000 businesses have been pre-qualified as on or near to the network.
