Vivacom Signs Professional Services Agreement with NetCracker Technology

Under the newly signed five-year extension and professional services agreement, Vivacom, a Bulgaria-based quad-play service provider, will be deploying the real-time, converged BSS platform from NetCracker (News - Alert) Technology in order to monetize its quad-play services.

Ivan Cholakov, IT director at Vivacom, said, “Extending our relationship with NetCracker is a logical step as our business grows and advances because of the success of our ongoing partnership. We look forward to benefitting from NetCracker’s real-time transaction functionality and common platform approach as we execute this strategic upgrade of our core BSS capabilities.”

NetCracker’s offering of BSS solutions combined with professional services, managed services, and implementation expertise, are designed to enable service providers to operationalize next-generation connectivity, maximize the convergence of network and IT, monetize content, and deliver a compelling customer experience.

With the power of NetCracker’s real-time transaction platform at its disposal, Vivacom can hope to maximize automation and accelerate time to market for new services and offers while reducing overall operational costs. A single platform can be used for all of its quad-play services to ensure the highest level of transactional security.

NetCracker asserted that Vivacom provides yet another example of a NetCracker BSS customer leveraging its single platform approach and adopting its real-time transactional functionality. Vivacom will be able to seamlessly expand and enhance its business across traditional fixed, broadband, mobile and pay-TV services.

The company also offers the necessary transaction management tools one needs to introduce, scale, and sustain new transaction models along with bringing down transaction costs, delivering seamless, multi-device, and multi-channel customer experiences and also generating, collecting, and measuring revenue and profitability.

NetCracker also recently strengthened its BSS expertise by acquiring Convergys’ (News - Alert) global information management (IM) business and offered service providers new means to take a fresh approach to BSS/OSS — whether they access BSS/OSS solutions through the cloud, as a managed service, or as an on-premise system.

In related news, RCN (News - Alert), a U.S.-based provider of high speed Internet services, signed a long-term contract extension for NetCracker’s Business Support Systems (BSS) solutions.
