Newsmax Media and Float Left Partner to Provide Newsmax TV on OTT and Android Smart Phone

As the media and entertainment advertising sectors continue to evolve, Float Left Interactive and Newsmax Media have announced that Newsmax Media's Newsmax TV has expanded its soft launch of the new multi-platform news and information channel to Android (News - Alert), smartphone, and OTT devices, making it available to an estimated 100 million devices nationwide.
Newsmax TV was available to 35 million satellite homes and businesses when it soft launched in mid-June, targeting an audience of more than 80 million disenfranchised Baby Boomers. It offers independent news with a mainstream conservative tilt.
Christopher Ruddy, Newsmax Media CEO said, “We consider making Newsmax TV available not only in cable satellite, working with Float Left was an easy decision given their south Florida proximity and their proven experience in developing high-end applications for several key connected TV and mobile platforms.”
With a new approach, Newsmax TV offers a full range of informational programming and lifestyle content in the areas of health, finance, and personal well-being. Newsmax website is considered as one of the most trafficked political websites, reaching 14 million unique visitors monthly, it is frequently ranked as the number one political website.
Kirby Grines, vice president Business Development for Float Left Interactive, said in a statement, "Expanding Newsmax TV to the Android ecosystem made perfect sense. The amount of time U.S. adults will spend watching video on tablets is expected to increase 54 percent this year. Android is continually making steady progress and now commands over 50 percent of the smart phone market share and over two-thirds of tablet. By making Newsmax TV available on Android devices and Google TV, over 100 million consumers can now access Newsmax TV on their phones, tablets, and TVs."
