NCTC to Offer Members PCT International's Channel Master Home Networking Accessories

The National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC), a Kansas not-for-profit corporation that operates as a programming and hardware purchasing organization, asserted that it will be offering PCT International’s (News - Alert) Channel Master line of Home Networking accessories including MoCA adapters, HomePlugAV adapters and IPTV set-top boxes to its members.

PCT, a provider of last-mile and premise products and solutions for broadband communications networks, claimed that its retail brand, Channel Master, has already been offering several IPTV (News - Alert) and home networking products via the retail space. It is now shifting its focus to cater to operator’s needs keeping in mind the quick awareness and expansion of the IPTV and Home networking sector.

Channel Master, a manufacturer that deals in the production of set-top boxes, home networking accessories and digital media devices, asserted that it will be the one-stop-shop for the most reliable solutions used to stream content in the home over all mediums including coax, powerline and wireless. It recently unveiled the Internet-to-TV adapters that deliver network connectivity to a device that is compatible with internet services such as Pandora, Vudu, Netflix, CinemaNow, YouTube (News - Alert), and other applications. The adapters are fast becoming very successful at homes and are now being expanded to be used by professional service providers and operators.

The adapters are available with coaxial solutions that leverage MoCA technology and powerline solutions that are compliant with HomePlugAV standards. The Channel Master MoCA solution is available with two Ethernet coax bridges (CM-6000) and a 4-port Switch (CM-6004). The powerline solution includes kits that extend a network over existing home powerlines.

NCTC stated that it is also offering members Channel Master’s new CM-7100 IPTV set-top box. It is said to be ideal for service provider IPTV subscribers. The CM-7100 enables IPTV subscribers to view advanced IP SD & HDTV content on their television or display. It supports advanced IPTV capabilities and features such as electronic program guides (EPGs), multicast TV, VOD and digital video scaling. Crystal clear HD picture and surround sound is guaranteed and the STB also supports VOB, Linear and OTT content.
