Innovolt Announces Availability of Intelligent Electronics Protection Technology

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Innovolt, a specialist in intelligent electronics protection technology, announced the availability of its technology for licensing to markets ranging from consumer electronics, medical technology, cable and satellite to HVAC and control systems.

According to Innovolt, a majority of electronics equipment deployed today has insufficient protection against disturbances on power grids that are remarkably chaotic and caustic. The scope of electronics protection choices has been limited to either under-functioning surge protectors for aftermarket consumer use or unwieldy, over-priced technologies such as uninterruptable power supply (UPS).

The Innovolt technology is accessible to and effective for all electronics, regardless of size or deployment, according to company officials.

"Our technology is filling a huge void and disrupting the marketplace with both functionality and cost,” said Jeff Spence, president and COO of Innovolt, in a statement. “Big brands are clamoring over Innovolt – proof that, until now, electronics protection choices have been limited. We are taking the opportunity to build off our successes and expand into new markets.”

Innovolt’s electronics protection technology manages the impact of power disturbances and effectively increases the electronics' lifespan, reliability and efficiency. Companies that have deployed these technologies have seen a marked decrease in service calls on protected equipment.

The patented electronics protection technology from Innovolt guards against damage from 99.5 percent of power interruptions, including infinite voltage and current variations, according to company officials.

Innovolt recently expanded its markets and is now working with top Fortune 500 companies, including: Ricoh US, Ricoh Canada, Toshiba (News - Alert), Konica Minolta, and ECi OMD, to increase the reliability of their equipment and to optimize service to their end users.

Innovolt's technology is currently available to all OEMs. The company is offering the technology to Consumer Electronics, Office Equipment, Appliances, Medical Technology, Telecom/Communications, Cable & Satellite and HVAC and Control Systems.
