SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2011, the industry's engineering show of the year, is to be held Nov. 14 - 17 in Atlanta. TEK systems, a provider of IT staffing solutions is expected to sponsor the event. It will also exhibit at booth number 1610.

For the last 25 years, TEKsystems has been partnering with telecommunications organizations to create customized solutions, scalable delivery options helping clients successfully plan, build and run their critical technology initiatives.

The Expo provides the opportunity to discover and learn first-hand about the latest in cable technology, products and services and attracts thousands of cable telecommunications technologists every year. State-of-the-art exhibits, technical workshops, popular International Cable-Tec Games and more will engage visitors.

Opportunities to exhibit during Cable-Tec Expo 2011 allow exhibitors to interact with engineers, technicians and decision makers. Companies can also meet with their customers and prospects and build brand awareness. In addition, new products and technologies will be displayed and new sales leads can also be generated.

“We're dedicated to ensuring our services are relevant to and valued by this industry. Exhibiting at Cable-Tec and attending the expo workshops brings key industry challenges to light. It also gives us the opportunity to communicate face to face with our customers and hear their individual voices,” said Megan Cohill, TEKsystems (News - Alert) director of Strategic Accounts, in a press release.

TEKsystems will also host a post-event social to facilitate client networking and discuss the industry's business goals for 2012. Representatives from TEKsystems will be available for discussion about the company's suite of services. They will also highlight key industry trends and interact with organizations to help them achieve better results.

The company will introduce a little bit of excitement by giving booth visitors an opportunity to win a Microsoft (News - Alert) Xbox 360. All they have to do is to respond to a pre- conference mailing online at the company website. They can also opt to participate in the MLB (News - Alert) 2K12 Homerun Derby on a Microsoft Xbox 360 at the TEKsystems booth itself.

In other news, only 32 percent of IT leaders report being effective at workforce planning for large IT infrastructure projects, according to a recent survey performed by TEKsystems and CIO magazine. Although most IT leaders believe the success of any IT initiative depends on the people driving it, they often prioritize many other considerations ahead of workforce planning.
