YOU On Demand Holdings announced a partnership agreement with Jilin Cable in Jilin province for the promotion of VOD content.

In a release Shane McMahon, chairman and CEO of YOU On Demand said, “The Spring Festival is the perfect time for YOU On Demand to partner with Jilin Cable. We are excited to be bringing the best in home entertainment to Jilin subscribers during this very special time of year.”

YOU On Demand, a national Pay-Per-View (PPV) and Video On Demand (VOD) platform in China, will be supporting Jilin Cable’s annual content promotion for the first quarter of 2012. YOU On Demand plans to provide select Hollywood blockbuster movies and Chinese movies on Jilin Cable’s Transactional Video On Demand (TVOD) service.

Jilin Cable has approximately 2.95M subscribers, with about 2.1M VOD ready customers. The promotional activities entail that YOU On Demand and Jilin Cable have agreed to this long-term carriage agreement, which is expected to enable a full launch of the YOU On Demand service in April.

The services comprise of high quality premium content which are delivered via Near Video On Demand (NVOD), Video On Demand (VOD) and Subscription Video On Demand (SVOD) services.

Officials added that its offerings encompass a portfolio of businesses that includes entering into alliances with media operators, governmental partnerships and getting required approvals. The other services are the delivery of comprehensive end-to-end content delivery, exclusive billing solutions and the provision of value added services.

Beijing-based YOU On Demand is well experienced in cable, television, media and telecom sectors and has inked strategic partnerships with several major media companies in China.

Recently YOU On Demand and Hua Cheng Film and Television Digital Program Co. Ltd’s China Home Cinema (CHC) announced an exclusive deal that will have YOU On Demand oversee all Transactional Video On Demand (TVOD) and Subscription Video On Demand (SVOD) services.
