Westell's Home Monitoring Featured at Cable Exhibit

Westell Technologies (News - Alert) has stated that their new home monitoring and control solution has been selected to be displayed at the Cable Center's 2008-2009 Cable Today and Tomorrow exhibit.
 
Westell Technologies, Inc. is a holding company for Westell, Inc. and ConferencePlus (News - Alert), Inc. Westell, Inc. designs and develops broadband communications access products. ConferencePlus, Inc. claims to be a collaborative Application Service Provider that manages and hosts voice, video, IP applications and back-office services.
 
The Cable Center is a resource for information, education and expertise on cable telecommunications.

The company officials have stated that Westell will use this display opportunity to demonstrate the ways in which their UltraLine Series3 Gateway (News - Alert) combines multiple technologies to enable remote monitoring over high-speed cable service.
 
The UltraLine Series3, with WireSpeed routing technology, is claimed to be one of the only residential gateways in its class with a highly-integrated System-on-Chip (SoC) processor optimized for wired and wireless applications.
 
The always-on service allows cameras, lighting, and images to be viewed and controlled through a screen on any Internet-connected device. These capabilities can be extended from general consumer use to a wide range of applications, such as in-home health care, energy management, and security services.
