Fluke Networks Intros Micromapper Pro VDV Cable Tester

By Jyothi Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

Fluke Networks (News - Alert) has released its new Micromapper Pro VDV cable tester, which operates using a on one-button “Quick Check” test.

The VDV cable tester is designed to reliably and quickly test terminations and length, thus speeding installation time and reducing callbacks. A feature called “quickcheck” helps build tests for twisted pair and coax, using built-in analog toner to locate cables and provides technicians with the ability to perform their jobs faster and more accurately. It eliminates the need for a separate toner in the installer's toolkit.

The MicroMapper Pro installer Kit provided by Fluke provides comprehensive testing, locating, and ID tagging with the VDV Cable Tester including Pro3000 Probe and eight cable IDs.

In addition VDV cable tester can be used across a wider range of user skill levels than similar testers. It saves time, with faster transitions between voice, data, and video cable testing, and eliminates costly replacement of lost adapters.

Fluke Networks is a supplier of test equipment, offering market leading products for cable and wireless installation testing, and network connectivity troubleshooting.

Its latest release includes OptiView Series III integrated network analyzer which is a portable monitoring and troubleshooting tool offering network engineers an application troubleshooting expert option that dramatically reduces time to problem identification.
