Integra5's Blended Communications To Be Unveiled at Cable Show

By Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

The emergence of Web 2.0, social media and SMS are having a considerable impact on consumers’ communications and media consumption behaviors, IT insiders say.

Operators can now meet these evolving communications needs through an interactive, cross-platform experience with Integra5’s (News - Alert) i5 CSP and applications, according to the company, whose products are deployed by more than 35 cable and IPTV (News - Alert) providers across the Americas.

Integra5 reportedly has announced that its i5 Converged Services Platform and applications will be featured at The Cable Center’s second annual “Cable Today & Tomorrow” exhibit. Integra5 is one of only seven companies chosen by a committee comprised of The Cable Center and industry executives to participate in the interactive showcase, which debuts on October 15 in Denver.

Integra5’s real-time, blended communications service provide features such as personalization, call management and i-Click (click-to-call) features, which include TV Content Alerts, TV and PC Voicemail Message Waiting Indication and Playback, and TV, PC and Landline-to-Mobile Caller ID.

While exploring the potential of future advancements, Cable Today & Tomorrow’ represents the industry’s commitment to providing transformative, present-day communications technologies. The Cable Center selected Integra5’s converged services for this year’s exhibit, because of the company’s ability to deliver value and simplicity to consumers’ lives, Integra5 officials say. The company achieves this with a blended communications experience across TVs, PCs, and mobile and landline phones.

According to Gene Lew, vice president of products and strategy at Integra5, even the definitions of communication and entertainment will continue to evolve rapidly, as consumers increasingly embrace innovations that enable them to interact in ways that were unimaginable just a few years ago.

“With new technologies we are just now beginning to realize the full potential of cable and its utility in daily life,” Lew said. “Blended communications will play a central role in this transformation, and we’re excited to provide people with an opportunity to experience a sampling of some of the many services we offer at Cable Today & Tomorrow.”
